Brand new, re-issued Hosoi “Hammerhead” original version from the very late early 80s.
Classic and iconic board from Christian’s own company…great to see him back in the industry. This was the 1st pro deck I owned back in around 1985.That one was put out by Santa Cruz boards…think there was an earlier one on Skull Skates too?
Probably the most iconic shaped skateboard deck of all time.
Just like the originals his one has mellow concave, a steep tail & a flat nose.
All pretty much as the original; same shape, concave, size, tail, etc. but now drilled for modern trucks so if you want to fit original 80s ones you’ll have to drill a couple of extra holes. This isn’t a problem as any extra holes would be hidden under griptape and under the baseplates…until you take a board appart you’d never know.
For trucks look at Indy 169s, Tracker Six Tracks or Shiner 9.125″ for a cheaper option.
For wheels both Powell Peralta and Santa Cruz now do lots of re-issues; Rat Bones, Mini Cubics, G-bones, Slime Balls, Bigballs, OJ teamriders, OJ Combos, etc.
…or if you want to ride it as a cruiser/transport board you’ll not get better than Kryptonics “Star Trac” wheels (very fast, soft & smooth- especially the reds).
